The Nerdy Birdy is a children’s picture book which tells
the story of Ned, a bright little bird who gets teased for
being different from everyone else in his class. One bully
in particular, Billy, makes life hard for Ned – trying to
bring him down whenever he can.

Written and illustrated by Danielle and David Snowdon, the message of the story (aimed at children aged 5-8) is
that we are all strong in our own ways; we each have
different talents and things that make us shine. The
Nerdy Birdy celebrates our differences, and encourages
kids to look beyond what they initially see.

The Nerdy Birdy was shortlisted for the 2014 Children's Book Council of Australia Crichton Award for New Illustrations.

Easy peasy to support local!
Love love love it! I live in the UK and needed to find a present for a friend based in Melbourne. I didn't want to buy her something generic from Amazon so did a bit of research and stumbled upon trauve. Well curated with a beautiful selection of small, local brands. It saved me so much time as all these small brands were under the same 'roof'. Wish we had something similar here, so much easier than forever trawling Amazon or Etsy for something good. 5 stars!

Shopping on Trauve was a great experience for me. The site has such a huge range of unique goodies that were easy navigate through.
